Palatine, Illinois, is the seventh largest community in Cook County and is approximately 30 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Palatine is about a one hour drive from Chicago and is located just east of Lake-Cook Road and Route 12 which is accessible via the I-90 or I-94 Expressways.
A Metra station is located on the Union Pacific Northwest line which runs to and from the city of Chicago. Palatine was founded in 1866 and has grown into a sprawling metropolitan area that neighbors Arlington Heights.
