Local Animal Shelters to Benefit from Dog Days of Summer Promotion
Arvidson Pools & Spas is hosting the 3rd Annual Dog Days of Summer promotion throughout the month of August as a way of raising funds for several local animal rescue/shelter organizations.
Each location is partnering with a local shelter:
- Crystal Lake is partnering with Animal House Shelter
- St. Charles is partnering with Starfish Rescue
- Palatine is partnering with Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue
“Many of our customers and employees are animal lovers,” said Retail Division Manager, Nadine Nuzzo. “Our St. Charles retail manager owns many rescue pets ,and it’s a cause that is dear to our hearts. Last year, this event raised nearly $1,500 for the shelters and resulted in several pet adoptions. We felt it was a huge success and we hope to raise even more money this year,” she said.
Pet Adoptions
Pet adoption events are Saturday, August 19, from 12-3 pm, at our hot tub stores in Crystal Lake and Palatine and Sunday, August 20, from 12-3 pm, at our hot tub stores in St. Charles.
We hope that individuals and families who are interested in adopting a dog will come out and meet some adorable options. Bring your dogs with you and try out the Aqua Comb pet washing tool in our Dog Washing station. Free pet treats will also be provided!
Shelter Donations
In addition to pet adoptions, the company is donating $50 for every hot tub sold during the month of August to our shelter/rescue partners. If you are an animal lover and are also ready to improve your life with the healthy benefits of warm water therapy, this is the month to buy!
Each hot tub store has a Raffle Basket on display filled with an array of dog supplies, treats, and services. Tickets are sold for $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 6 tickets, and $10 for 15 tickets. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated to the shelters, and the winner will be drawn on Friday, September 1.
Dog Days Coupon
Another way Arvidson Pools & Spas is raising funds for the shelters is through a coupon that is being distributed through the shelters, on social media and to our email distribution list. We are donating 10% of all purchases made using this coupon to the shelters. Hot tubs, saunas, pools, and service work are excluded from this offer.
“We expect that the combination of these offers will result in a significant contribution to our local animal shelters/rescues. Come out and help us make a difference for all of our four-legged friends this month,” Nuzzo said.
